SUMMARY:Stillness and Occurrence - At Play with the Elements
DESCRIPTION:A Meditation based retreat with Andrea Darby and Mary Lang \nThis workshop is offered for free\, though donations are welcome.  \nYou are warmly invited to join us for our fifth seasonal and nature based retreat\, taking place in the barn and on the land.  This will be a day of meditation\, being outdoors\, solitude\, teaching / dialoguing about connecting with the alive qualities of the elements\, genuine speaking and listening together in community. Elements that have been a part of past retreat days: journaling\, ritual or offering to the earth\, and exploration of how a deeper connection with the more-than-human world can foster resilience and be a resource for us as we contend with current national and global challenges. \nINTERESTED? PLEASE RSVP TO aporterdarby@gmail.com \nAbout Andrea and Mary: \nMary Lang began meditating in the 1970’s in the NYC Shambala Center and has been studying\, practicing and teaching since then. She is also a professional art photographer and licensed social worker. \nAndrea Darby began her practice in the 1980’s and has been practicing\, studying and teaching ever since. She is a retired educator. \nBoth are experienced retreat leaders cognizant of and responsive to the varied backgrounds and life experiences that people bring to the cushion and the conversation.. All are welcome regardless of experience with formal meditation practice. \n  \n
